Rubbish Collection:
    The Village contracts with Waste Management for rubbish pickup.  Residents pay $14.75 per month per the new contract which took effect September 1, 2007.  Rubbish collection day for the entire Village is Thursday.  Waste Management can be reached at:

    Rubbish must be placed at the curb in proper containers in close proximity to each other. 

    Yard waste such as trees, shrubs, brush, waste wood, trimmings, grass cuttings, dead plants, and weeds must be under 36 inches in length.

    Recyclable glass, plastic milk containers and plastic bottles, aluminum cans, motor oil and pesticide containers must be completely clean and free of residue.

    Refrigerators, water tanks, stoves, washing machines, freezers and air conditioners are picked up at no additional charge.  The resident must make prior arrangements with Waste Management for pickup.  Hydrocarbons must be removed prior to pickup, and the cost of the removal is the resident’s responsibility.
    During weeks when there is a major holiday, trash will be picked up on Friday rather than Thursday.
